Here are some examples of misdemeanors that will be legal in Colorado schools if this bullshit passes.
Bully someone
Slap a teacher across the face
Punch bus driver
Sell drugs
Kick them
Hit them
Threaten them
Grab their butt
Grab their breast’s
Threaten to bring a gun to school
Possess alcohol
Smoke marijuana
Possession of less than 4 grams of oxycodone, meth, cocaine, or heroine, to name a few. A gram is roughly the amount in a packet of sugar
Punch any teacher in the face
Disrupt school
Cause damage to ones property under a certain dollar value
Steal something under a certain dollar value
Kids from another school beating up yours in your own school parking lot
I can go on. There are hundreds of scenarios that will fit.
No arrest.
No issuing a summons and releasing them.
No pushing a case through to be filed by investigations.
Ask yourself: “Why”?

Colorado school districts would have to reduce suspensions and set higher standards for school resource officers under a state bill introduced Friday that takes aim at what’s called the school-to-prison pipeline.

The bill also bans the use of handcuffs on elementary school students.

Colorado bill would revamp student discipline, ban handcuffing children

The horrors.
...spare the rod spoil the kid
...some of them need to be cuffed

No kid in elementary school needs cuffed.

This is the first I've heard of this but I figured an actual story was better than just something someone posted that isn't even true.

Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy: the answer to "why" is that they want to hasten the complete collapse of Western Civilization and replace it with their Woketopian Dictatorship.

In my day if you hit a teacher you were likely to get hit harder

I figured if it weren't true you would provide proof.
