Democracy is disappearing right before our eyes.

Hopefully the "Democrat version" of democracy is disappearing.
Thankfully, we aren’t a democracy at all.

Again, for the goobers, like bug.80, the simplistic author of ridiculous original post, it must keep being said that we are a Constitutional republic — not a “democracy.”

They've been convinced that we don't need anyone, and that anything we need can be produced here. Somehow. We also don't need global trade, overseas security intelligence, or allies/friends of any kind. They all just take advantage of us because they're really mean.

So I guess it's okay that China takes our place on the world stage. And they're already making inroads.

Their response to anything that is questioning anything in any way is some form of "I don't care".
There are millions of ignorant jackasses who are too stupid to question anything Trump does. Plus there's a former political party who are nothing more then figure heads as his lapdogs scared shitless that they'll be primaried if they cross him & will lose their cushy job.

People wonder whether or not Trump is an authoritarin. The ones who are either blind or stupid.

At this point, I'm seeing two general groups, the useful idiots and the literal neofascists. I think the latter group is smaller, but not insignificant.

I don't think the useful idiot group understands what is happening in a historical context, nor do they care. They want what they want, and they're willing to sell out the country to get it. They're going to keep their eyes closed to that, and many simply lack the capacity to understand it anyway. And that's part of the historical context -- the world has seen this before.

There are many personal benefits to being in a Mafia family. But you're still in a Mafia family. For some of us, even seeing some things go our way just isn't worth it. The Founders damn well warned against, and tried to protect us from, exactly what we're seeing. Of course, the useful idiots don't/won't see that, either.

Defying Congress, Trump Moves to Cut $4.9 Billion in Foreign Aid

The White House has informed Congress it intends to cancel $4.9 billion that lawmakers approved for foreign aid programs, invoking a little-known and legally untested power to slash spending without their approval.

The 15-page notification, sent to Congress on Thursday night and reviewed by The New York Times, is the administration’s first effort to push through what is known as a “pocket rescission.” It is an effort to unilaterally claw back money that has already been appropriated by waiting so late in the fiscal year to make the request that lawmakers do not have time to reject it before the funding expires.

The fiscal year ends on Sept. 30, before the 45-day period in which Congress is required to consider a rescission request from the White House. Republicans could bring the matter to a vote sooner, but party leaders have shown little appetite for resisting the president’s spending demands and asserting their own prerogatives.

If supporters of all things Don weren't for this before they sure as shootin' are for it now. Usurping congressional authority on spending by means of a novel, dubiously legal gambit? It goes without saying, not a problem.

Diminishing our influence in the world, leaving a vacuum for countries like China to fill. Remember when Nixon said, ""Well, when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal." Ditto for Don for trump devotees.

But hey........

This is great news for Americans and bad news for America's enemies/Democrats invested in the intentional collapse of America.

When you figure out what a woman is, maybe then Americans will listen to your opinions on more complex issues.

The fault lies obviously with those so stupid, frightened, and willfully ignorant as to vote for Trump – they’re ultimately responsible for the end of American democracy.

The people are solely responsible for the bad government they get – and Trump is the worst.
Soooooo, you.....

M'kay...

The useful idiot group wants whatever Trump wants. That's how cults work.

Democrat leadership if we can call them that for the most part are sitting idly by as Trump & his mob roll over the top of them as Democracy day by day slips away.

If there's a free & fair election in 2026 it will be a miracle.

Just to remind all the neo-leftists here, MAGA stands for Make AMERICA Great again, not spend American taxpayer money on foreign countries so the corrupt democraps can get kickbacks from it. Your money squandering operations are being eliminated, hopefully permanently.

You do realize that America, as a world superpower (which you might consider "great") needed to have influence over many countries.

invoking a little-known and legally untested power to slash spending without their approval

It's pretty well-known now ... and he's acing the test.

That's what concerns me, and we've already begun to see some signs. These people have gone so far over the top that it's fair to wonder if they are not worried about elections.
They're worried that they'll get their asses kicked unless Dopetard & his depraved lapdogs like Abbott can figure out how to rig them.

If all else fails Trump will use his masked private militia (ICE) to disrupt them. He attempted a coup. He's capable of resorting to ANYTHING.

Giving a boost to China's efforts in spreading its influence in the world is great news for Americans? The prez usurping what has always been the purview of Congress in yet another autocratic power grab is good for Americans? You sound like an enemy of America.

It will be tough for you guys to win without the slush fund that funds your campaigns.

Your biggest campaign donor is money stolen from the taxpayers, and one of your biggest strategies is illegal aliens boosting seat numbers. I'd be worried too.

Another one who doesn't know my politics.

It sucks for your propaganda too. You won't be able to pay YouTubers as much. The amount of tax dollars to fund propaganda and elections was sick. Integrity and all that.
