Imagine going on TV for what you think will be a friendly, softball propaganda appearance, only to get ROASTED by the host, as she makes you sit there and watch yourself being humiliated.

There's definitely a story here, I wish I knew what it was.

Senators and especially Congressmen are ideally supposed to be representatives of their constituents who voted them in.

Representative government and how it works.
Now with Senators it is actually supposed to be a split. Half representative and half leadership of their constituents with explanations so they understand and be behind the things they are voting for.

However....Schumer is trying to lead his Democrats with this shutdown....and they aren't buying it. As if his constituents will follow his lead if he demonstrates political strength.

But....we have recordings of Schumer on the floor of the Senate passionately saying the exact opposite position he is currently supporting and has shut down the government over.

So....what's the deal here?

He has zero credibility for the position he is claiming, he isn't showing strength, and his constituents aren't buying the crap he is selling.
