The "different reality" is that all students will now have to compete on a more level playing field. When someone is used to receiving preferential treatment, equal treatment can feel like discrimination.

“The students who make America’s colleges and universities diverse will be returning to the same conditions but a different reality,” said Shaun Harper, a professor of education, business, and public policy at the University of Southern California, adding, “They will return to campus climates that are still racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ableist and otherwise discriminatory.”

“But they’re going to be returning to places that no longer have the infrastructure to address those challenges. So, the challenges remain, but there will be fewer resources, fewer policies and fewer people to protect students from those realities,” he added.

Equal treatment will mean white kids have to take a back seat to Asian kids in admissions, especially at elite universities....but I am sure the right will figure out a new "equal treatment" regimen soon enough.

There will always be another boogeyman wherever Democrats go because they invent them. They have a need to fabricate woe is me situations like roads and math are racist. DEI people don't solve problems. They create them.

Will it be a "level playing field"? Not really.

Education starts unfair and continues to be unfair, due to the way education is financed in the US.

Since the 60s, we have known that education outcome is primarily a result of partent involvement.

That is "the science" on this issue.

Your side's policy of single families, or even the TWO INCOME FAMILY, undermines every child it touches.
