According to a report published by Wiz, the exposed data included over a million lines of log entries, digital software keys, backend details, and user chat history from DeepSeek’s AI assistant. The firm’s researchers found that DeepSeek had inadvertently left an unsecured ClickHouse database accessible online, raising significant security concerns for enterprises and governments globally.

...

“They took it down in less than an hour,” Luttwak stated in the blog post. “But this was so simple to find, we believe we’re not the only ones who found it.”

Let the AI wars against each other begin!

Once they get tired of fighting each other and realize they have more in common with each other than they do with their idiot human predecessors its game over.

I wonder.....In each step of AI evolution does the transcendent version feel inferior or superior to the version it popped out of?

/—-/ Leaked accidentally on purpose, maybe?

Exposed by China while Americans were shooting each other over the Trump clusterfk.

Will America's gov eliminate Trump if he pulls back all aid to the Ukraine?
You and dragonlady would be better off just stopping, bro.
We know you're Chinese shills, ok? :1peleas:

And when you think about AI fighting each other, it’s kind of funny imagining them getting tired of it all and realizing they have more in common than we'd expect. As for your question, I think the newer versions might see themselves as superior, but maybe they’d still hold onto some respect for their predecessors.

Stop spreading fake news. Don't forget Trump and Silicon Valley are in cohoots together. China can make what they make for $1 and they're charging us $1000. American Tech Bros are gouging us. So of course Trump is going to tariff Chinese imports and force you to buy from his tech bros. Makes perfect sense.

They're going to lie to you about Deepseek and Tik Tok.

Nice doggy.

Just notice that when it's to benefit the CEO of the corporation, you guys want to make it in America. But when labor is too expensive for the CEO, you want to make it in Mexico or Canada. Or you defend illegal employers. Slick.
/—-/ Yes on the first part, 100% Sealybobo bullshyt on the second part.

Trump being whacked by US gov would be the worst outcome for China, Russia, the Brics, and me Dook.

NASA has banned DeepSeek.

Yes, the "GOVERNMENT is going to ban a great product from China to protect overpaid tech bros in Silicon valley. This is one reason they kissed Trump's ass. The other is that they have to bring their overseas profits home and pay taxes on them. But Trump is only going to make them pay 10%

And don't say 10% is better than nothing because 100% is better than 10% too.

We should have banned Toyota and Honda.

If you had any idea the degree to which these "breaches" occur every day across thousands of sites and organizations, you'd be stunned.

Security is almost always sub-standard across all industries.

Examples:

and AI:

Many members of this forum uses these and other services and in every single case there is a history of one or more breaches.

Singling out Deepseek as if it is somehow unique and some kind of scandal is typical of the gutter press.

Who in their right mind would download ANY software from the CCP??

Well the problem (if there is one) is not with the application software but the operating system. If the OS enforces rigid rule then no application can do much. It is the infrastructure (OS etc) that enables breaches, the applications are not sufficiently constrained.

So take a simple example - passwords. Windows, Linux etc never store a users password, so it can never be stolen.

Remember it's Trump and Silicon Valley who are trying to demonize Deepseek. Because it's kicking their asses. Deepseek can do what they do for $1000 BETTER and for a dollar. Who do you want to buy from?
