Just ran across this in my email from bladehq. Free domestic shipping tonight and the Gerber Tri-tip ($40 on Amazon) is $19 with Free Shipping.

Can't link to it...board rules...but I ordered one and a a Gerber Chonk MT pry tool for $10.

I bought the Gerber Ulu about a year ago and love it. I've caught the Tri-tip on sale before, but never with free shipping.

BladeHQ is located in Utah..so about an hour left.

That's sitewide btw...not just on the stuff in the OP.

Package arrived today...

The knife on the far left is my current EDC...a CJRW J1904 that I've been carrying for about two years. Great knife.

So far really digging the Tri-tip...but I don't have time to do much with it right now. The sheath is far superior to the ballistic nylon crap I usually get with a new knife...and you can configure it for right or left hand carry or scout carry.

Not sure if I like it yet.

I love the retention...but I see a leather upgrade in it's future.

The Chonk? Glad I didn't pay full price for it. The hole is in a terrible spot and weakens the structural utility in the worst possible location.

Chances are I'll fire up the forge and make a new prybar and use the scale, clip and hardware from the Chonk to finish it out.

If you're looking for an EDC prybar...look elsewhere.
