and says his whisker biscuit sling bow is good for 15 yds. Now WHY would you put up with all the crap of a muzzleloader, to get a lousy extra 5 yds of "capability"? 
Make all that noise, have all that weight and bulk, and inabiilty to re-supply yourself, long term? So you can spend several K at Dave's store, maybe? I could have a LOT of replacement rubbers, for the bulk and weight saved, vs the muzzleloader, powder, shot, balls, blah blah. Put that time, effort into stashing nets, chickenwire, snares, traps, etc, at your bugout location, and you'll be WAY ahead. A smoothbore uzzleloader's pretty worthless in a fight, so tha'ts no reason to prefer it over the arrow and slingbow.
