Iryna Zarutska until very recently was a happy-again young woman, glad to have escaped the battle fields of Ukraine to the U.S., where she rode a blue train metro in North Carolina to work.
To then have her life taken in a very violent, very racist, 'random attack'.

But folks, i am a schizophrenic myself (actually : a schizo-affective diagnosed individual), caused by a multitude of personal factors. And I can tell you from my 23 recent years(!) in and out of open wards (and closed wards for short duration stays) in mental hospitals here in The Netherlands; the vast majority of schizos are not psychos like the reverse-racist attacker who now for very shameful and as yet unknown political reasons enjoys the protection of the liberal media.

Now, true, there might have been mitigating circumstances, like the attacker using his one 'get-in-long-term-jail protection from the nightly freezing winter weather here on Earth' card, but that should not exclude a potential death penalty for him as an option; i feel we need to use maximum deterrence here.

Of course, if I raped murdered kidnapped broke into homes where a 5 year old girl is sleeping you are damned right I would deserve that treatment.

I can go as far to say that no punishment is cruel or unusual.

It ain't abuse to treat criminals like criminals, I did not make them do the crime, they do the crime cause they want to and they dont care what the punishment is.

Why should anyone care if the criminal is treated like scum when the criminal dont care!

The problem with the death penalty is the ENORMOUS costs to enact it. And anybody with a pro-life stance can't accept the use of the death penalty. There has to be better solutions that don't affect the taxpayers so much. My current favorite idea is to take away their citizenship and passport and offer to pay extremely poor countries to keep them locked up for life. Hell, I am even for sending all violent criminals with long sentences to foreign jails. It costs America about 50K a year per inmate, and that cost is about double for a death row inmate. What if South Sudan agrees to keep them for 1K/yr? Think of all the money we could save, we just might be able to afford UHC.

There are different subtypes of schizophrenia. The Paranoid type are often violent. Your diagnosis is more like bi polar disorder which can become schizoaffective DO, not violent just bad judgement and severe mood swings.

In the case of a psychopath they should get the death penalty when they kill..
