Hopefully it's due to getting repeat violent crime offenders off the streets (keeping them locked up when caught) like what is happening in Baltimore.
Common sense dictates that removing the ones doing most of the violent crime and crime figures are bound to go down.
I can't find it now but I read where in large cities an average of 1400 perps do most of the violent crime.

Trump was inaugurated in Jan 2025.
You are contending crime has not dropped in DC since Trump took office?
Walk me through exactly what point you are poorly making.
The meme or tweet says crime is down in 2026 in each one of those categories, COMPARED to 2025 stats on crime.
Both 2025 was a Trump administration year, and 2026 was a Trump admin ruling year.
It's comparing how we are doing ty in 2026 to how we did in 2025 up to this point in March, which was also a Trump year....
it wasn't a Biden admin year being compared to...but how well he is doing this year against how well or bad he did last year
It's comparing 3 months of 2026 to the same 3 months of 2025...trump ruled both periods with the exception of the first 20 days in January
That's all....

Tell me what time periods should be compared?
