However, if you overstayed your non-immigrant visa and had "unlawful presence" in the United States for a period of one (1) year or more after your 18th birthday, then you could receive a ten year penalty under INA section 212(a)(9)(B).

I appreciate you offering some statistics. I’ll even forgive you for not citing any of it. The problem, however, is that no one is saying illegal aliens don’t commit crimes. See the statistics that actually matter are how their crime rates compare to citizens. You’re completely missing the point if you don’t make that comparison.

Okay but let’s run with your driving infraction statistics. As illegal as the activity is to drive workout the proper paperwork, it doesn’t make these bad people who are a threat to everyone else. They just need a car to function in the real world.
