Whenever I talk to Creationists about Evolution, they repeatedly tell me that the factual evidence I bring to the debate is actually simply an opinion of a different type. They tell me that while it may be factual, it is only my OPINION that it is RELEVANT! They believe that there really isn't any objective truth in regards to the issue and that it is only my liberal upbringing that closes my mind to the deeper issue and that it biases me into a closed-minded viewpoint.

To be fair, they do have anecdotal and hypothetical evidence to support their theory. You can cherry-pick specific cases of individuals who prayed and had medical issues cured for reasons that doctors can not explain. Additionally, over a billion people would "think" that it would make sense. Therefore it passes the "well, duh" argument. It can be hard to argue against anything that passes the trifecta of the most intellectually rigorous tests of having not only anecdotal evidence, not only hypothetical evidence, except actually makes sense to millions of people.

Any attempt to convince a creationist of the validity of evolution is nearly as pointless as trying to convince someone who understands evolution the truth of creationism.

Let people believe whatever it is they choose to believe.

There is no harm in believing in that which supports your world view.

To a true Creationist, it is conceivable (indeed necessary to believe) that "God" is clever and powerful enough to plant a giant cornucopia of evidence for, shall we say, Evolution, just to try to play a game on the human race.

More interesting to me is the fact that people with ZERO scientific knowledge - people who went to college and majored in sociology - who KNOW that Evolution is a fact, and will mock, shame, and ridicule anyone with the temerity to bring up facts that make much of Evolution theory look weak. Ironically, to them, Evolution is tantamount to a religion; it is taken on faith, and anyone who questions it is a heretic.

Honestly, you should read Darwin. You will find that he was a racist and a sexist. Specifically read his observations that lead him to conclude that we humans evolved from an ape. Funny he can say that as Iall the stuff I have read only discusses Darwin’s observations of chimpanzees. Anyway, evolution is not a solid foundation. The facts always change with every new discovery. Evolution is nothing but another religion like atheism. Far as that gos, I don’t think we evolved from monkeys. Maybe we ARE just another kind of ape, but I did not think we evolved from them.

So you are saying that God created us, gave us intelligence, and then planted false evidence just to play a game on humanity? Your God sounds like an asshole.
