We have wild Javelina (a pig-like rodent) in Arizona. Normally they aren't much of a problem but recently there has been a pack of about 20 of them that took a liking to my back yard. I tried cayenne pepper, Coyote Pee, vinegar, but nothing worked. Then I took a bluetooth speaker and placed it by my door and blasted Coyote Yipping and Howling I found on Youtube videos. Success! They all jumped up and took off like a shot. Three of the big males stayed looking around but they ended up leaving too.

So there's an idea for anyone trying to get rid of pesty animals in your yard or garden.

You could just play a recording of Kamala giggling. That drives everyone away.

Here are a few more ideas to get rid of the pesty animals.

I wonder if a javelina tastes different than wild boar? I have ordered boar in a restaurant (okay, nothing special) and also pan fried it, and it stunk up my whole house.

You get in BIG trouble if you kill a Javelina in Arizona. I guess you can get a special license or something but that won't work in my neighborhood. :)

They have two hunting seasons, spring and fall, though bag limit is 1 per, and can be hunted with handgun, rifle or bow, and you have to have a tag. Good time to take up bow hunting if you are in a neighborhood.

We have deer hunting seasons here, and you are not to shoot deer out of season. On the other hand, my dad did protect his garden. If deer got in past the fence to get at his peas or other vegetables at night, the second night, he would be setting in lawn chair, and would drop them from up in the yard, when they came to raid, and dispose of them the next morning, problem solved. Destructive animals did not last long around our place.

I've never tried Javelina but judging on how they smell, I'll pass. Le skunk de Pew!

They aren't in Tennessee, as far as I know, and have never seen a live one in my life.

Javelinas are neither rodent nor pig. They are javelinas, also known as peccaries.

You are correct, they are not related to rodents.

I lived in Texas during some of my formative years, we had/have them there. I have no idea why that fact has stuck with me all these years...

Dominion Necessitates Extermination

I hope Trump will kill the Unfit Endangered Species Act. Only degenerate mindless primitives protect dangerous or useless animals.

All Liberalism Is Anti-Human

A character in The Thornbirds was killed by a wild boar. Legislators who protect all these beasts are accessories to murder and should be treated with the utmost contempt.

I should have been more clear. Javelina are classified as a "big game" animal and can be hunted if you buy a license and tags. But I for instance can't injure or kill them if they enter my property.
