LOL. My uncle got some free cows from the highway once. Basically a truck wrecked, some cattle escaped and eventually ended up on his property a week or so later. He tracked down the owner. They told him the insurance was covering the value of the cows so he could keep them or they could have someone come remove them. He kept them....well until he ate them.

I heard about something like that occurring in Georgia not too long ago when people spotted a cowboy lassoing a steer.
