Well, it seems that some scam artists are out there and wanting to get the most out of this pandemic that is sweeping across the nation and the globe. Seems that some of them are selling tickets to get the vaccine, but all you are getting is a piece of paper with your name on it, and that's it. No, the vaccine DOES NOT cost anything for you to get, nor is it a good idea to give your banking information, medical information or your medical status to a random phone call that comes to you out of the blue.
There are many people who have been taken advantage of (mostly seniors who desperately want to receive the vaccine). I don't know what is worse, stealing the money of people who want to be safe, or giving them false hope by telling them they are now in line, but when they get to the vaccination site, they are told that their tickets and place in line are not there, as they have been scammed.
I'm putting this out as a caution to let others know about this. If you are looking to get a vaccine, it's best to go to the county website first, and work your way through that. I know, the phone lines and computer sites keep crashing, but that is because there are a LOT of people out there who don't believe COVID is a hoax, nor do they wish to die.
