When Donald Trump imposed his first travel ban weeks ago in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, liberals howled that it was "xenophobic" and "racist" and an "over-reaction." Then, when liberals realized they could use fear-mongering about the virus to tank the economy and hopefully defeat Trump, they did a 180: They began to paint the virus as the second coming of the Black Plague or the Spanish Flu, and they began to accuse Trump of downplaying the virus, not taking it seriously, ignoring it, blah, blah, blah.
Well, now that it is becoming increasingly clear that COVID-19's case numbers and death numbers will be comparable to those of the 2009-2010 swine flu pandemic, if not a bit below them, liberals have gone into denial mode and are using bogus math and lots of cherry-picking to continue to try to scare people and to attack anyone who argues for a fact-based, sane response to the virus.
