This issue, I believe, is one of the two most important issues to be decided by the upcoming election. The question is whether they can win in the country as a whole, while favoring wholesale unregulated foreign migration and de facto Open Border illegal immigration. The financial and social costs to the country, the admittance, and acceptance of non-background checked illegal immigrants, possibly criminals, possibly terrorist, in mass, is huge and in my opinion, unacceptable.
