Some republicans in congress have spoke against student loan debt relief, but have received relief money from the government themselves. Ted Cruz referred to people wanting the relief as being lazy. If you took there advice and took care of your debt, you would start to become more wise with the decisions you make in life. That would inturn make you more self sufficient and less dependent on the government, wouldn't it??

There should be hard life lessons for those who overextend themselves and then discovered that they can't parlay their worthless leftist degree into a wage that can cover the bills that they themselves ran up.

Your comparison's on the issue's aren't correct. Issue's aren't compatible with each other once leave one type of relief assistance program and it's reasoning that has no comparison to another. They just aren't, but nice try.

What needs to be investigated is the idiocy of conservatives to post something as stupid as your post, none of which is based on reality or common sense, of which you have NONE. Stop believing the lies that people are taking basket weaving and gender studies and can't get good jobs. Only a total idiot believes such nonsense.

American student loan interest rates have been 3 times higher than lending rates for businesses or mortgages since 2005. People have paid on their loans for 10 years and ended up owing more at the end of 10 years than when they started. In Canada, the rate is Prime plus 2%. When prime was less than 1%, our interest rates were 1/2 to 1/3 what your students are paying.

Why are young people, just out of school, paying three times higher interest rates on their student loans than mortgages and businesses????? This is just greed and profiteering on the backs of students, but greed and profiteering is what Americans do best. Keep working people broke and desperate.,

When millions of people are having the same problem, it's because the system is engineered to screw them over, but like a good little conservative you go after the students for "taking on too much debt". How stupid and gullible is that???

Would that include all of the wealthy corporations, individuals and members of Congress who received PPP loan at the beginning of the lockdown, and then asked for foregiveness of those loans too, or are you only going after poor people for the money while the wealthy gets their loans forgiven????

That's a real nice double standard you've got going on there. Rich people get their loans forgiven, poor people have to pay and at interest rates 3 times higher than anybody else. Nice system you got there. Keep em poor.

There are alot of aid/grants you can get to pay for just about all of your schooling if you keep your grades up. That is what will make you smarter and self reliant
