Thomas is one of our own. And he really laid into the authors of the bill here. Specifically the lobbyists and the deep staters. Which is out of character for him, he's usually soft spoken.

The chairman basically pulled the bill from the committee when amendments were offered to make it constitutional and then took it behind closed doors and cancelled the hearing and took it into a back room where the lobbyists and deep staters who authored the crap could set the terms away from the committee. Lobbyists and deep staters, as you know, don't get to vote on legislation. They aren't in the committee. That's why the chairman cancelled the drafting hearing and took it behind closed doors with the lobbyists instead.

They also suspended the 72 hour rule so they could ram in through. They only gave em 24 hours to read the bill.

Then Thomas called em out to come defend themselves. lol. That was the best part, actually.

Anyway. Massie is no doubt the best Congress has to offer. Has been for some time.

We're also going to get the full-court press from "conservative" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean anymore) police state bootlickers in the media (i.e. Hannity), who play the "the work that our FBI/CIA/NSA agents in the field do is invaluable" bit.

No matter what, that was a darned magnificent floor speech. It got said. It was a perfect explanation of how the lobbyists and deep staters get away with penning this unconstitutional stuff outside of committee and outside of the rules. Short, concise and he was nice and pissed off about it. We need more of that kind of representation in Congress. It's so few and far between.
