Congressional Republicans say "No" to investigating the January 6 attack on Congress.

If the Democrats don't want to investigate Election Fraud, then the Republicans aren't obligated to entertain Democrat insecurities.

If the Democrats don't have faith in the investigation the FBI is conducting, the Republicans aren't obligated to hold their precious little hands.
Obviously, all investigations are not equally meritorious.

Allegations of election fraud have been been extensively investigated repeatedly and found to be bogus. The clown show in Arizona is only the latest fiasco in that regard. It has been denounced by Republicans and Democrats alike.

The attack on Congress is an irrefutable reality, and the trashing of America's proud tradition of peaceful transfers of power is of such existential implications that it must be honestly confronted.

So you don 't think this investigation is warranted but you supported the what...TWELVE Benghazi/Clinton email investigations???
How do you spell hypocrite?

You cannot determine the merit of an investigation that wasn't conducted.
I am not even suggesting that it would turn out one way or another.

Just because you have your head so far up your ass, you cannot see the light of day ...
Doesn't mean any of the rest of us have the obligation to jump into the shithole you insist on wallowing in ...

Your petulance is noted. Please try to compose yourself and exhibit a modicum of civility.

The paranoid "voter fraud" fantasy has been dealt with time and time again, and rejected by Republicans and Democrats alike.

Trump disbands voter fraud commission let by Pence, Kobach ...

Were credible evidence of it ever to emerge, it would and should be investigated yet again.

A bipartisan, independent, and thorough investigation into the unprecedented attack upon Congress is essential. Sweeping it under the rug is not an option, regardless of it possibly accruing to the detriment of one faction or another.

Fanatical threat to America noted.

Some Republicans are so afraid of the implications of a bipartisan, independent commission uncovering the sordid details, they're actually claiming that it could interfere with the ongoing prosecutions of hundreds of Trump goons:

[McConnell] questioned whether the panel's work would interfere with the hundreds of criminal cases stemming from the Jan. 6 attack, in which rioters brutally beat police, broke in through windows and doors and hunted for lawmakers as they fled. McConnell said he also wanted to read the “fine print” of the bill and ensure that both parties on the commission have an equal say.
It sounds if if he doesn't think that the revelation of facts would be exculpatory.

"Former President Trump's actions (preceding) the riot were a disgraceful – disgraceful – dereliction of duty... The leader of the free world cannot spend weeks thundering that shadowy forces are stealing our country and then feign surprise when people believe him and do reckless things."
"There is no question that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day." – Sen. McConnell Instagram.

The House on Wednesday is set to approve legislation to create a bipartisan investigation of the Jan. 6 Capitol attack...
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) announced his opposition to the legislation, which he says puts too much focus on the Jan. 6 attack.
If McCarthy had been around for the 9/11 Commission, bin Laden and al Qaeda might have shared center stage with newlyweds William and Catherine..

Perchance, McCarthy just wants to avoid an unpleasant topic, figuring that he has already written the Commission's conclusion:

“The president bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters.
He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding.”
[House Minority Leader McCarthy blames Trump for riot but opposes impeachment]

In Normal World, this wouldn't even be in question. Of course you do this. You have to do this.

It really is sad watching how far down Trumpism is dragging us.

The upside down Q crazies are claiming that Pelosi is behind the Capitol attack.

Fine. Let's have a real investigation and see if that claim holds true.

Republicans say "No" to investigating the January 6 attack

WHAT MORE IS THERE TO INVESTIGATE? Unless you actually want to get at the truth:
  1. Democrats spent a year rigging an election to ensure a Biden win.
  2. They knew the fix was in so didn't even bother running any Biden campaign!
  3. As soon as the election was over, they declared any questions about it baseless and debunked before anything had even been looked into!
  4. They ridiculed and tried to silence anyone who even brought it up.
  5. A lot of people, already in the area, decided to voice their complaint at the Capitol.
  6. Nancy got wind of the rally so pulled back security while troublemakers went in to stir up the crowd.
  7. One innocent girl was shot point blank just for trying to walk in.
  8. It was the ideal thing to hang on Trump one last time hoping to stop him from ever running again.
  9. Now the democrats are trying like all get out to try to make it about the PEOPLE there to keep off the front page that 1/6 was really protesting a crooked ELECTION.

McCarthy never thought it would get this far, hoping that Democrats would not agree to Republican demands.

When they did, he was confronted with inevitably being called to testify under oath about his pleading on the phone with Cry Baby Sore Loser to call off his goons.

Their frenetically trying to sweep it under the rug will cover them with more filth than if they were to practice good Housekeeping.

The Republican House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, should testify before the commission to investigate the 6 January Capitol attack, the Wyoming representative Liz Cheney said on Friday, because he has “said publicly that he’s got information about the president’s state of mind that day”.
Cheney said McCarthy “absolutely should” testify before any commission, and that she “wouldn’t be surprised if he were subpoenaed”.
Obviously, McConnell can't contrive any credible excuse for shirking his responsibility to the nation, but he'll try.

Indeed! Why bother with testimony under oath when there are eye witnesses eager to share their recollections of the pleasantries and their fleeing from adoring autograph seekers and all those shared 'selfie' requests rather than a violent mob threatening their lives?

That picture and January 6 is nothing compared to the pictures of Leftist thug animals rampaging through all our major city streets looting, room Bing and torching peoples livelyhoods as well as govt. buildings.

That's the truth whether you pull the hair, selective outrage types like it or not.

"Oh, yeah!
Well, what about...?"

Your desperate need to contrive a diversion by such falsehoods is entirely understandable.

Typical major city street:

Trump's goon attack upon Congress in an attempt to defeat the democratic will is unprecedented, the first time in the history of the nation that its proud tradition of peaceful transfers of power was savaged.

(If you are aware of any disparate instances of mob violence where no one is being prosecuted, it is your responsibility to cite them specifically and question the reason(s) they are not subject to the law, of course.)

Are you really that scared of what happened on Jan. 6? Frankly, Repub voters have done very little over the years even though you keep bringing up the same few things over and over. if the were like you say you would know it. And they do have the ability. But you. A few Antifa psychotics and some BLM people who do have some toughees in it and the rest of you are all manly. Letting a small percentage of others do the revolutionary transformation does not bode well for when the takeover completely obliterates the old constitution and your new constitution is in place. You will devour each other as the failures of the programs that have been around since the 1960's and before will not be erased and only added.

Your scree fails miserably as a defense of why the Trump goons' violent attack on our Congress should be swept under the carpet.

Leftie version of Goon attack...LOL: one unarmed woman is shot and killed on Jan. 6 and they won't even tell us who, why and when. For that, we have a military occupation and razor fencing of our capital. As opposed to many months of looting, killing, destroying people's lives, attacks in Govt. buildings, and arson going on in all major cities across the USA and still going. But since no intellectual honesty exists, the Left will close its eyes and do anything.

why do we need another one about Jan 6?

and why did the dems say no to a study of all the political violence that’s been exploding since 2016?

The legislation can pass through the House of Representatives but it's no more a law and implemented than wallpaper until it gets through the Senate and is signed by the president.

That legislation did pass the House but it will be filibustered and killed in the Senate. mcconnell announced yesterday that he doesn't want a commission and doesn't support the legislation.

There isn't 10 republican senators who will vote to break that filibuster.

I would be completely shocked if the January 6th Commission ever happens.

I can see two possibilities happening:

The DOJ appointing a special counsel to investigate.

Each chamber of congress will do their own investigations.

Whatever happens I do expect the republicans to lie, deceive, obstruct and do everything to prevent a proper investigation with the people of our nation being told the truth, the whole truth and noting but the truth.

Sorry, Nancy called her group together and they are all Dems.

Let's see....

How does a bipartisan investigation include only one party?
