Congress has passed a resolution to reopen government, much to the chagrin of..........well................those in Congress.
"I really preferred to do nothing because government was shut down," said Chuck Schumer. "But now that we are reopen, now we will have to blame gridlock for doing nothing, but that gets old after a while."
AOC was equally as agitated about government reopening. ""This is so not about me in this moment," said Ocasio-Cortez. "This is about people being able to afford their health insurance under the Affordable Care Act passed by President Obama. Without Republicans supporting subsidizing the Affordable Care act to help people buy their health insurance, those people simply will not be able to afford their health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, and I won't stand for that!!"
Bernie Sanders also chimed in saying, "People need to understand that this government shut down exemplifies the need for government to completely take over health care, like it should take over everything else. But first people need to understand that to have government work once it takes over everything, and everyone, like it has in New York City, we must first stop electing Republicans like they have done in New York City. Only through one party rule can we have democracy once again!!
However, John Fetterman was one of the few democrats to vote to reopen government saying, "I would change parties if I thought they would not Charley Kirk me for doing it. As it is, after voting to reopen the government I probably should give the folks in the witness protection program to see if they can help me now. If nothing else, just for giggles."
