Why are we in the ROK? It mesmerizes me. I hope everyone realizes that the South Korean military is first world, well supplied and highly trained...service is also compulsory so their men are trained in weapons usage.

We lost over 33,000 US soldiers in the Korean War. Our bases there have prevented aggression from the North.

It is better to maintain strength in the region. We have bases around the world for a reason. And the reason is not to protect other countries, it is to protect the United States by making another world war less likely., to protect our interests overseas, to protect trade routes, to keep countries America friendly. Because if we donlt. If we do what Trump wants, he will be giving these countries to the Russians and/or the Chinese.
