Companion (2025) Stream Rent

Been curious about this one for a few weeks, decided to watch it last night.
Wasn't expecting greatness, all of the actors are relatively unknown with one exception the main actress Sophie Thatcher, a possible up and comer after her role in Heretic. Easy on the eyes for sure.
Set in the not so distant future, that is not stated, I would say 50 years maybe. Sex bots, now called "Companions" have become common.
This bots owner decided to hack and modify his "companion"... it doesn't go as planned.

All in all - entertaining. A decent movie, won't blow your socks off, but worth the $5 rent.
I look forward to seeing what else Sophie Thatcher will do.

I almost chose this one.. we both like Anya Taylor Joy. I will watch it for sure.
Only negative comment is Anya has lost too much weight. She apparently has got into working out too much and dieting. She is waaay too skinny now.
Before this - she had an outstanding/sexy body.

Yeah, she's pretty skinny in this, but gorgeous as always. Pretty good pace for the movie.

In Queen's Gambit she was drop dead hot.
That is a very good series on Netflix. Hard to imagine that a series about competitive chess is going to be good - but it is.

I just watched this movie.

Thoroughly sucked. Worst acting ever. Worst plot ever.

Jack Quaid is actually the biggest actor in this movie. He was a main character in The Boys.

I did not recognize the cop's face, but his voice jumped right out at me. He had a big role in Ozark. He looks completely different in this movie.
