The Klan, the White Citizen Councils, the John Birch Society, and other such movements were and are hate organizations.

No, no, no, that has been banned from textbooks along with Schwermer, and Goodman. 1990's political correctness stated that Blacks had to be shown to empower themselves with no White help. John Kerry and Jane Fonda allied themselves directly or indirectly with the communist party when they tried to combine the Civil Rights movement with the anti-war movement and create a revolution. The Winter Soldiers project had little to do with real Veterans. It was a communist inspired plan to escalate civil unrest. Black Civil Rights leaders rejected the Bill Ayers agenda of bombing and bank robbery and worked within the system. You could say that the (alleged) anti-war movement with Bill Ayers, Patty Hurst, Bernadine Dohrn and the rest of the 60's revolutionaries were more aligned with CUSA's than the good people of the Civil Rights movement.

I was a teen in the south in the 60s visiting mom and dad's families in the South, and my entire family there, with an exception of a grand dad, were threatened once by several of the council for supporting black voting and the right to voice dissent without fear. We were certainly not the only whites in East Texas and western Louisiana that supported the righteous path of American equality. And we were not socialists or communists, many of the older ones were vets of WWII and Korea, and many of my generation served in Vietnam and later.

We simply had no time for white nationalists, buncha dickweeds.

Far as the thuggery and threats from the kluckers and councils, we let them know we would hit harder and longer if they tried anything violent with us. Since all lkuckers etc are cowards, they backed down.
