Do not forget: 50 years ago when Johnny Carson was reaching 15 million viewers every night, back then, there were only 215 million people in the whole country, so, Carson was reaching 7% of the entire American population nightly--- if Colshit is only reaching 2 million NOW, that is only less than 0.6% of the country--- about 1/12th the number of people.

If he were reaching 50% of Carson's number, you could rationalize it, but he only barely reaches 1/6th of that.

At the time day work was much more part of life. His show was an hour and a half for much of it and ended at 1 a.m. on the East coast. People still had to get up to go to work. What we are seeing is major shift from left wing ideology back to a center right ideology that believes in traditional American moral values. Thats why we are seeing serious declines in CNN MSNBC and other centers of socialist, woke, progressive propaganda. As they lose viewers they lose money. Well, it does not help that today, not only are there many other things competing with network TV, but many of them offer better picture quality and a fraction of the commercials.

And many of the networks themselves are to blame. They have been deliberately starving television in order to feed interest in the burgeoning streaming market, which they own.

So basically, all that is left now is for television to be considered a "dumping ground" for much of the trash that now serves as modern TV programming.
