So... what CNN doesn't make obvious is several things...

1) The statue was erected without permission.
2) It was modeled after a black nationalist
3) It shows a depiction of a black nationalist, giving the raised fist which is a symbol of black power/nationalism.

OBVIOUSLY it should have been taken down.

She is not a Nationalist. A Nationalist is someone who is on the extreme right.

I'd agree with you in the case of your Confederate statues, as very few were slave owners and that is not what they were fighting for.
A slave owner like Colston (and that was his only claim to fame) reflects a shameful part of our history. The BLM statue reflects a more enlightened part of a new history.
Why would anybody in their right mind want a monument to celebrate an evil greedy monster!

Bristol, England? Did not know they had the same problem. Black lives matter? Black lives do not matter any more to black people there, than they matter to black people here.
Black men 'to blame for most violent city crime'... but they're also the victims

The data, which provides the ethnicity of the 18,091 men and boys who police took action against in London during 2009-10, looked at both violent and sexual offences.
It found that 67 per cent of those caught by police for gun crimes were black.
Just over 12 per cent of London's 7.5million population is black,
But one black politician said the black community needed to face up to major challenges.
Shaun Bailey, a Tory election candidate in London and charity worker, said: 'The community has to look at itself and say that, at the end of the day, these figures suggest we are heavily - not casually - involved in violent crime. We are also involved in crime against ourselves - and we regularly attack each other.'

If black lives generally do not matter to the black community regarding black on black crime, why should black lives they matter to anybody else?

In a galaxy far far away...
In black Brit hoods do their young thugs shoot and kill one another, and occasional bystanders, right out in their streets every day like in America?

In theory a NATIONALIST is considered a right-wing position. HOWEVER, anybody who watches International Sports observes that EVERY Nation is very Nationalistic. And Communist Countries, which are considered left-wing. like China, are still very Nationalistic. Religious countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran are very Nationalistic.
Democracies like India are very Nationalistic.

I don't think Nationalism can be placed on a political spectrum.

I agree with you on Colston, but BLM is an anti-white terrorist organization as racist as the KKK.

Nope.

1. "Nationalist" has nothing to do with liberalism or conservativism.

2. She wasn't a Nationalist because she wanted to destroy her nation.

3. "Nationalist" in and of itself is actually a good thing.

Depends on the identity of who is the nationalist.
I agree the term is misapplied, a black nationalist is one who pushes an agenda to benefit blacks...over other races. If someone identified themselves as a white nationalist... they don't exactly get a warm reception.
You can't say a white nationalist is bad, and then claim a black nationalist is AOK

I agree that one cannot say a white nationalist is bad and follow with a black nationalist is ok.

The better course is to accept a person's support for their own country as being natural, even if they want to make changes they deem positive.

But what is very detrimental is the use of racial innuendo against a person favors his home country whether they are white, black. brown, yellow or red. Sadly, that is a technique known as racial identity politics used by the Nazi's and others to create divisions in a society and those tactics are being used today in the US.
