If you are not proud to be an American, then renounce your citizenship and leave.
Democrats are just a drag chute on America at best.
Get out of my country King George III cock sucker.
Now let’s look at the document itself.
The Declaration of Independence is
organized into three parts.
Preamble/Philosophical Justification
Asserts universal principles: all men are created equal, endowed with rights, governments exist to secure those rights, etc.
Statement of Purpose
Declares that when a government becomes destructive of these ends, the people have the right to alter or abolish it.
The Indictment
The bulk of the document lists
27 specific grievances against King George III, accusing him of tyranny and abuses of power.
The primary issue was George's disregard of the legal system, including
"
He has obstructed the Administration of Justice" and "
He has made Judges dependent on his will alone."
In addition, the founders pointed out that George had sicced his goons on the citizens:
"
He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance."
And he was using the military on citizens without local governments having a say. Think of the Marines dispatched to California.
- "He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures."
- "He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power."
- "For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us."
- "For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States."
The founders weighed in on George's capricious trade policy — think tariffs:
"
For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world."
And George's use of specious charges and foreign jails — think
CECOT:
"
For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences"
They held him to account for riding roughshod over local jurisdictions. Think of the MAGA federal government trampling the states.
- "For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments."
- For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever."
Circumstances have changed. The autocratic threat to Americans' life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness lives not in London, but in Washington, DC. But the peril is as real in 2025 as it was in 1776.
Luckily, when you see the size and vigor of the #No Kings rallies, it is evident that many Americans are as passionate about liberty today as they were when the Founders forged the nation as the land of the brave and home of the free.
Liberals are the natural heirs to the founding generation. MAGAs are the descendents of the George III loyalists, aka Tories. We own the flag. Wave it today. Vote tomorrow.
