Police departments began to widely issue the AR-15 to their officers a decade ago. I am rolling my eyes at the 25-year-old intern at CNN who thought this was newsworthy.

The AR-15 became standard issue for LEOs after the North Hollywood shoot-out.

Having seen the video of it I can understand that. I would have thought CAS would have been useful that day too.
