Conservatives can't do that. They're too disconnected from the real world, and they're too narcissistic to even think of poking fun of themselves. Thus, their attempts at satire come across as whiny butthurt.

The "successful" conservative humor -- at least successful in regards to other conservatives -- is based on talking about other people getting hurt or humiliated. They especially yuk it up when someone punches down at the less powerful, as Trump does. Normal people see that as repulsive.
