I was filled with good cheer. The holiday spirit came upon me. There's eight in a box, you can make seven kids very happy and still have one for yourself.

I love holidays. Holidays are great. We need more of them.

I know this makes me an Old Fuddy-duddy, but the proper sequence of the seasons at this time of year is,

• Kids start to get excited about Halloween around the middle of October,
• Halloween occurs,
• People start to get excited about Thanksgiving in mid-November,
• Thanksgiving occurs,
• People start to get excited about Christmas in early December.

This year,

• Walmart starts putting up new Halloween decorations in mid-August,
• Walmart starts selling Christmas stuff at the beginning of September,
• Halloween decorations start going up around peoples' houses in early September,
• Haloween occurs,
• People start putting up the outdoor Christmas decorations the day after Halloween.
• Thanksgiving seems to get lost in the shuffle.

For me, the calendar issue is usually, I forget that New Year's is only a week after December and I don't start thinking of something to do on NYE until the day after Christmas.

Thanksgiving is a celebration of white pilgrims, who incidentally didn't have any slaves. Thus they do not fit the new liberal narrative of evil white devils ruining the world and justify continued hatred towards. Christmas is being systemically killed off so as not to offend the godless commies and degenerates. In this day and age it is more en vogue to be offended by someone saying 'Merry Christmas' in public. Liberals ruin everything.

Although quite frankly it is way too early for Christmas talk. That is the product of commercialization, not tradition. Very sad.

The helliday season is here. Four and a half more weeks of holding on to my sanity with all my strength, using every ounce of control I have to not throttle anyone, seriously considering disappearing somewhere to crawl into a bottle, and wishing I was working Christmas. ******* lovely.
