Kriste Noem is so typical of the people in this administration. An extreme weather event destroys homes and people's lives in her state when she was governor, and sending National Guard to the southern border of the US.

"After the press conference, Noem flew to a political fundraiser in Tennessee, which is where she was when the flood surge hit McCook Lake and sent people fleeing. During the aftermath, Noem refused to deploy the National Guard to help clean up the area, after she’d sent Guard troops multiple times to help Texas secure its border with Mexico."

To prevent a repeat of this disaster actions needed depend on FEMA money, and that looks real doubtful with the current President's attitude toward victims of disasters.

That's hilarious! The Democratic Party doesn't give a rat's tail about people, unless those people represent votes for them.

They don't care about votes either unless it suits them....They had no problem erasing 15 million FJB primary votes in an afternoon and coronating a potential queen.

LOL, Noem had nothing to do with the torrential rains, the failure of the diversion of excess water into the lake which occurred AFTER she left and they got the standard $42,000 payment for living in a flood plain.

Then there is this paragraph you went blind over, because you are dishonest person.

At the heart of residents’ frustration lies the emergency flood plan last updated in 1976 — one that sent floodwaters into the McCook Lake neighborhood intentionally, in an effort to divert it from the more heavily populated areas of North Sioux City and Dakota Dunes.

Costs to help people should mean nothing in a nation awash in wealth. Greatness meter took a hit.

Blame Biden (or whoever was behind the curtain), not Noem.
