Is Chipotle being greedy? Why or why not? I think they are very transparent as to why they are doing it so I say NO they are not being greedy. Kamala’s plan would have put in place price ceilings and resulted in layoffs and store closures on an unhealthy level.

There really are no cheap eat out places left. Pretty sure consumers have just accepted the new reality.

Why pick on Chipotle? They don't increase the price of a candy bar, they just make it smaller. It's business as usual.

Wait, they shrunk the portions and now they are raising prices too?

Isn't that double dipping?

And isn't price control what tRump is promising on groceries?

How is that different and when did Harris promise fast food price ceilings anyway?

Since I lived in Texas for 25 years, the best Mexican food I can get here is what I make for myself.

Making the sauce is a bitch, though. You have to toast three kinds of dried peppers in a skillet to start with, to make the red sauce. That gives off a noxious smoke that'll choke you and make your eyes so watery you can't see.

Harris did not call out fast food. She called out all companies and corporations.

It ain't just Chipotle, it's pretty much every business. The costs of labor and materials go up which necessitates an increase in price, decrease in item quantity or quality, or go out of business if there's no other way to make a reasonable profit, if any.

I get the double steak there once a week and the double chicken once a week. It’s really good food

Well if you don't have peppers way up there in Idaho, you could always smoke a potato. :laughing0301:
ya, Lam Weston, and Simplot are being sued for trying to fix potatoe prices.
My attitude is so what. Equipment is prohibitivly expensive now

Incredibly, I saw that the price of a burger meal at McDonald's, is that same as at Apple-bee's?

:wtf:

Ok, then why say she did?

And why are you overlooking a very similar plan from tRump?
Is Chipotle not a company or a corporation? Where is Trump’s similar plan?

Just curious and legit question for those posters of a certain age--did food prices, including restaurant costs, go up drastically during Carter's inflation? I've only heard about interest rates and gas prices. Never really heard how that affected meals back in the day.
