Looks like it cocks on closing. Pity, otherwise it would make a handy rifle for pig hunting in thick bush. Well, apart from the protruding magazine but I wouldn't be surprised to find one could get it modified to flush. As is, a bit hard to bush bash with it safely and comfortably.

I bet a more modern rendition would sell like hotcakes.....Maybe get the Turks to make one and offer it at a reasonable price.

Years ago I read of a guy that did a single-stack conversion on a Spanish Destroyer carbine in .30 carbine but he did all the work himself.

Like this one.....They were chambered in 9mm Largo.
