In space, on the seas, and in the air, China is working towards becoming a greater superpower than the USA under an inexperienced and self-obsessed President who is more concerned with his own scandals busy making personal enemy lists than US security. Red flags are going up from US Intelligence agencies but those agencies are now fighting a two-front war. One against our enemies and one against our President.
China, regardless of small military bridgeheads made on far flung continents, remains a
regional power. While Chinese military forces can indeed project power regionally, on a global conflict scale they remain incapable of participating even to survive. Economically, China has turned to state capitalism for its millennial boom--an economic system dependent on the US and Japan to feed its market coffers and ideologies. Diplomatically speaking, China's inroads into South and Central America, Central and North Africa, will serve it little worth without military force projection capabilities to the other side of the globe. Of course, the narcotics empire the Chinese have their eye on could aid in funding them into a new global capable navy, if we're not careful. Imagine the profits and economic growth possible from serving half a billion addicts. Call them the empire of snow white.
