Outstanding news indeed. Selma city leaders have agreed to give up land for a memorial for Nathan Bedford Forrest. This ends a lawsuit against the city for refusing to grant a building request for the memorial. There were protesters chimping out, but it still went through, and the land is going to a chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy. The settlement also requires the city to pay $100,000 to the company.
