What are you people going to do about blacks shooting blacks with illegal guns? That should be the top priority in Chicago.

Really..... Do tell. Which "sensible" gun control law would have stopped a single criminal that purchased their guns illegal under the current gun laws? You do know that the vast vast majority of all gun crimes are committed by people who already break the existing gun laws... right? I hope you are not *that* ignorant.
While you explain that, please also explain how many of our sensible alcohol laws in the 1920s, prevented the use of alcohol, or the sensible drug laws today have stopped heroin and abuse of prescription medications?
Gun registration. If guns had "titles " that transferd from owner to owner , less guns would become "illegal" .
People wouldn't be handing guns over to gang bangers if it came back to them .

You don't even understand what I mean by illegal guns. These are guns not sold through legal channels to begin with. We're not talking about stolen guns from legal buyers. Most illegal guns, are smuggled. Or illegal gun deals, who report lost shipments, but sell them out of his car.
They are not following the laws on selling guns now. And you think a new registration law, is going to stop them?
And here's another kicker.... we already have illegal gun smugglers, inside the US, right now.

In fact, I-95 is so notorious for gun trafficking, it's called the "Iron Pipeline." Guns from Florida and Georgia head north to be sold for big bucks in states with stricter gun laws.
Now remember prohibition? In just 2 years, Al Capone had a network that stretched from New York, to California, from Mexico, to Canada, and back-yard moon shine stills operating throughout the mid-west.
If you introduce gun registration, what do you think is going to happen to the organized crime already operating gun smuggling rings inside the US? It's going to grow into massive crime syndicates, just like the 1920s alcohol runners.
And by the way, it never works. It hasn't yet!
Canada had gun registration from 1993, to 2014. During that decade, they failed to find even one single instance, where a single crime was 'prevented' by gun registration. Moreover, in Toronto the Auditor General's report of the effectiveness of gun registration, concluded not only was there absolutely no evidence whatsoever that it prevented a single crime, but additionally, they found not a single case, not even ONE CASE.... where the gun registration was used to solve a crime.
Again, look at all of Europe. Some of the toughest gun laws in the world, and nearly all of them require registration. Which one worked? Nice, France.... the guy had assault rifles, and even grenades. Was the problem a lack of grenade control? Maybe they should have registered grenades?
How about that shooter in Germany. Just got a gun off the internet. In Germany you are required to register your gun, your ammo, have a pych eval, and dozens of other requirements. He still got a gun, and shot a bunch of people.
