Do you think a marriage and relationship can overcome an infidelity?

Or, more accurately, do YOU think you could forgive and repair your relationship if you found out your spouse had been cheating on you?

What if it was just an "emotional" affair, but no actual physical cheating?
What if it was only kissing but nothing else?

Do you think it can be one time thing, or, do you think "once a cheater, always a cheater"?

Once a cheater, always a cheater. Relationships are based on trust...once that trust is violated, the relationship will forever fail.

I have seen some marriages survive infidelity, but there are those that murder the spouse or cut off body parts for cheating..lol
Personally I think it would be such a painful thing to go through ,trying to trust them again.

I think it depends on the why....
I mean, if you just don't like your spouse and married out of the initial lust that wore off, you are likely to keep cheating....
If you cheat because your spouse is neglectful (either in bed or emotionally), you are doing it to meet a need that's not being met. If that is understood, I think it can be repaired.... if the spouse agrees to change and work on it.....

Then there are people that just like relationships when they are new and exciting, and get bored once that wears off. They should NEVER be married!

Trust is the heart of intimacy. Cheating damages that trust sometime irreparably.

The first time I married a succubus. She only married me for financial reasons, but it took a while to figure it out. The c^nt was fuckin around on me as soon as I deployed. I probably was still in Kuwait waiting on the convoy north.

The second time God blessed me with an angel. I have no question about her loyalty.

Everyone's perspective is different, but as far as I'm concerned a man that ***** around on his wife has no respect for her and therefore can't really love her. She ought to be rid of him. I think a man of shitty character can seduce a married woman, so I have a slightly different perspective on it. She may still love her husband but she can never be trusted to be alone with another man again.

In other words I suppose my perspective can be summed up that a man should have the self control to reject a amorous woman's advances who isn't his wife, and that a woman has more leeway. Women are emotional creatures and they act on emotions. Men are supposed to act reasonably. Maybe that's a chauvinistic perspective but...

You should have seen the E-Club the night after a squadron or ship deployed. Also, "wheels up, rings off".

The cheater has to want to not cheat in the future. The other spouse must be of a mind to truly forgive. Both have to take place.

Sounds like you are ready to move on Bonzi. Just do it and then you won't be cheating.

My first wife did cheat, she never looked back. Whether I could forgive didn't matter.

Forgiveness isn't always enough. One has to rebuild trust after a betrayal and that isn't always possible.
