What this really goes to show is just how stupid ChatGPT and AI really are. They are a million miles from truly emulating the human mind. All they are is an encyclopedia on steroids, designed to find, access and organize any and all information on the web much like a super search engine.

AI cannot make a moral call or a judgement call--- at best, all it can do is access someone else's moral judgement database and pick the response which seems the best fit to the cause.

My opinioon (and I think his) is that AI lacks the humanity that humans imbue in their original tunes. One can only hope sentient, aware people see through this garbage. I think Rick goes a bit light on this totally fake shit but he's in the 'biz.'

I didn't hear of him either but he was involved with a lot of popular music. The video is interesting to me because these AI creations will pass for original human creations. Already we have so called 'live' performers using AutoTune, etc and even not singing at all.

This guy actually does forensic work on recorded tunes. I find it interesting but he is a bit wordy.



We need more American vernacular inspired music. This shit today is sterile and meaningless. Hope it changes.

I don't think you understand what projecting means, but the other words you use are very telling.

It's "stupid" to declare that AI or ChatGPT is "stupid" simply because you don't understand or aren't bright enough to utilize it in any of the ways that demonstrate it's far from "stupid".

For example, just because it is unable to run errands for me, cook my dinner or clean my home doesn't diminish its value as far as the things it can do for me, which are amazing for my needs which include as a tutor on a multitude of topics as well as an assistant I can delegate tasks to when I'm designing software and other applications, which cuts down the time from inception to deployment immensely.

Why don't you try talking to it and asking it about itself. You just might be surprised.

By the way, I was on LinkedIn and there was a young lady there griping about how thanking AI is a waste of x amount of computing cycles or some other metric. It always amuses me when I note a change in the way Alexa responds to me "thanking" "her"

Drop dead. Only an idiot would assign "intelligence" to a bunch of diodes, transistors, and machine language code. I guess you need to actually be smart enough to see AI as a loss of intelligence first, to not see it as a step up.
