Mine the areas that you can't build a wall.

But the best way to stop this mess is go after Drug Cartels and their Democrat friends.

Can't I agree with #4 but you must claim asylum at the port of entry. Don't agree with #8, state rights, flood them with illegals, let those states pay the bills. #12, We are not going to end birthright citizenship nor amend the constitution to end it.
All the rest full steam ahead.

You cannot mine a border. Especially if you can't build a wall, what good would mines do? Anti-personnel mines are no good if you can see them. You didn't think that one through, did you?

On the second point, you are on target.

Got that constitutional amendment ready to introduce to the Dems in Congress?

We have lots of them here in Florida, and very willing to donate them.
The border with the exception of Texas is sort of dry all year long and the Rio Grande gets quite low and doesn't have the aquatic life for gators to sustain themselves in a "dry" spell of no illegals trying to cross. You be donating them to die.

This was just for fun! I know you are not seriously considering it.

Mines can be concealed. The point of doing it is to make it harder or impossible to get thru.

If anything....it cuts down on the numbers. Guess you never thought of that.

No more fat assholes just looking to get paid and taken care of.

Don't know much about mines, do you? We used to sit at the O-Club in GTMO and listen to the landmines on the fence with Cuba explode every evening when they reached their max temperature, but I sure they fixed that little problem.

Why not just station the border patrol there to capture the illegals or put sensors there to alert their passing and then intercept them with drones, aircraft, or foot patrols?

I know! I know! You want blood! Of course, I suppose we could just rig IEDs along the paths most likely used.

You assume wrong just like a typical asshole.

Have you ever been on the Southern Border?

1100 miles is difficult to spread the Border Patrol over.

But if you make it hard for people to sneak thru most of it, you bottleneck them thru a smaller area that is easier to walk thru, but can be easily patrolled.

Then you just pick them up and escort them back to Mexico.

As a matter of fact yes, in Arizona about 20 years ago. The border back then was a series of pilings about 2 feet high connected together by some sort of cable and on our side a chain link fence. Wound up driving along the border as far as I-10 took me into Texas before it heads east.

Thank you for once again being Captain Obvious and commenting on things I thought you were smart enough to realize without my saying and adding things I already said. I apologize for overestimating your intellect.

So, you admit you ran your mouth without thinking like you always do, and I am the prick for calling you on it, like I always do.

No, I am a C-section baby and that hasn't affected me much, except every time I leave the house, I go out the window!

I'll leave it to biological environmentalists to analyze it, and possibly input scenarios that maybe none of us have ever even speculated about. Just for one example. the Rio Grande could be stocked with fish (as many lakes are. Nothing unusual about that.

I'm not dismissing what you say, and thanks for your contribution, but I would just say that my only personal experience with this, was when I moved from California to Florida. I drove on Interstate 10, passing through El Paso, TX, and stopped to check out the Rio Grande, among other tourist spots.

This was in late June 1989, and the Southwest was undergoing one its worst heat waves ever. When I passed through Phoenix, AZ it was 118 degrees. In El Paso, it was 112. The river appeared to be normal and boats of @ 28 feet were in the water. I'd guess they were drafting at least 3 feet below the waer surface (room enough for alligators)

As a former resident of Florida, gators live in swamps and still waters. They don't live in rivers if the water moves much. I had huge gators living in the retention ponds and drainage ditches of my apartment complex. The idea is laughable on its face and completely unrealistic. I just enjoyed mocking the idea!

As a resident of Florida now for 35 years, gators live in swamps, still waters, slow moving rivers (like the Rio Grande), an even in the brackish waters of Tampa Bay.

The idea is worth observation/analysis. Mock yourself if you must. Not my problem.

Of course that is correct, BUT courts, decades ago, gave up on that, due to one word in the IRCA law > "knowingly".

It has been proven time & time again that courts simply could not prove that employers were able to know if hirees were illegal. Without possessing criminal intent in their arguments, prosecutors were forced to drop charges enough times (over years), that courts found these cases not even worth looking at.
