Do you think capitalism is better at murdering children during for-profit wars or starving children to death in order to maximize shareholder value?

On Hunger and Capitalism

"IN SEPTEMBER 11, 2001, approximately 35,000 of our brothers and sisters died from what is perhaps the worst possible cause of death — starvation. A decade after the 1996 World Food Summit set the goal of cutting the rate of hunger in the world by half, today approximately 854 million people are still starving, which is a great increase in comparison to the 842 million in the year 2000 (Food and Agriculture Organization, The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2006)."

You should stop using so much capitalistic electricity.

You post to a link noting that Trump is lying but that there was one steel mill that opened after the tariff's were announced?
Yep, it reopened. How was he wrong? I added another in Texas

The article you linked noted he lied.
Of course it does while saying new plants opened. Again, fake news. You even said they opened one from the article. It is amazing how the left fake fake fake

No it did not. It noted one that opened back up after Trump's tariff's.
Yeah and?

It doesn't matter where Bezos started; he "earned" his current fortune by exploiting the surplus labor of his 556,000 employees.

Jeff does a fraction of the daily labor at Amazon, yet he's amassed $120 billion in compensation.

That occurred for only one reason. Capitalists have written the laws regarding how the spoils of industry are divided up.

No one expects CEOs to do any manual labor; they are too delicate (and greedy) The percentage of profits that go to CEOs is what I'm referring to. There is no reason those profits can not be distributed among the workers whose labor creates the profits, is there? Grinding austerity, falling real wages and acute funding crises gripping schools, hospitals, and most local government services are the price society pays for the worship of the rich.

China provisionally grants Trump 38 trademarks – including for escort service

"China has granted preliminary approval for 38 new Trump trademarks, paving the way for Donald Trump and his family to potentially develop a host of branded businesses from hotels to insurance to bodyguard and escort services, public documents show.

"Trump’s lawyers in China applied for the marks in April 2016, as Trump railed against China at campaign rallies, accusing it of currency manipulation and stealing US jobs.

"Critics maintain that Trump’s swelling portfolio of China trademarks raises serious conflict of interest questions."

Will seven million starving Yemenis ever find justice?

"Yemen has been described as the 'war the world forgot' eclipsed by Syria and complicated by a Saudi-led coalition supported by the United States, the United Kingdom and France.

"The resulting humanitarian disaster features a famine of cataclysmic proportions.

"The word 'famine' evokes images of dusty pot-bellied children and the wrath of nature.

"However, the reality is that this is less nature's cruelty and more mans: 'starvation' often more accurately reflects these wholly human-made and preventable catastrophes, where failed diplomacy and ostensible military objectives collide."

What moron thinks the CEO who founded a company should do the bulk of the manual labor? You Progs get more ridiculous everyday. What don’t those doing the manual labor go open their own business if
No one expects CEOs to do any manual labor; they are too delicate (and greedy) The percentage of profits that go to CEOs is what I'm referring to. There is no reason those profits can not be distributed among the workers whose labor creates the profits, is there? Grinding austerity, falling real wages and acute funding crises gripping schools, hospitals, and most local government services are the price society pays for the worship of the rich.

Employee compensation is already much, much more than profits.

You're free to start your own company here and give all the profits to the workers.

Why haven't you? Greedy bastard!!

How much more do those greedy, useless eater shareholders think they're entitled to?
Wage Stagnation: Much More Than You Wanted To Know

Todd made a very strong claim about wages being much more than profits.

If his point is true, your argument is destroyed. You have to address it, or be revealed to be nothing but a propaganda spouting troll.

And I speak as both someone who wants to see large scale long term increases in wages AND as someone with his retirement invested heavily in stocks.

What does that prove regarding income disparity in the US?

Perhaps you haven't noticed but this is 2019...not 2010.

Yes, I'm a capitalist, don't get me wrong... but when I see a video like this... which is even from 2012, it's much, MUCH worse now... I'll have to be completely honest, it does give me pause. Now, ask yourself... how did it get this way? Well, MONEY BUYS INFLUENCE, as in deep pockets going to Washington in the name of LOBBYING, and BUYING influence, BUYING senators, congressman, to pass laws to BENEFIT the RICH. How the hell else do you think a senator or congressman goes to Washington making $175K a YEAR, but in just a couple years is a MILLIONAIRE? Ya... think about it.

I think lobbying, which in other words is GOVERNMENT FOR SALE, should be OUTLAWED, TODAY, it's CORRUPT TO THE CORE, and it does NOT, HELP, the average working person in America... IT... DOES... NOT... and this video ought to piss ANYONE off... even capitalists... providing you're NOT CORRUPT...

What don’t those doing the manual labor go open their own business if they feel exploited? Who forces them to work there? BTW liberal NY begged Amazon to open an office in Queens. I guess Gov Cuomo likes exploited workers. You retard.

It would prove that the cause is NOT the taking of excessive profits by employers.

So, you need to address it, or concede the point.
