A crisis made by Traitor Joe©™ and his grossly incompetent administration. Jill isn't very good at this, is she?

The Centers for Disease Control is allowing shelters handling child migrants who cross the U.S.-Mexico border to expand to full capacity, abandoning a requirement that they stay near 50% to inhibit the spread of the coronavirus, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: The fact that the country's premier health advisory agency is permitting a change in COVID-19 protocols indicates the scale of the immigration crisis. A draft memo obtained by Axios conceded "facilities should plan for and expect to have COVID-19 cases."

...

Driving the news: The memo, drafted on CDC letterhead and set for imminent delivery, said the "only available options" for housing minors who cross the border without their parents are "prolonged stays at [Customs & Border Protection] facilities operating significantly above COVID-19 capacities."

You all didn't care before when the child victims of Trump's 100% Separation Policy were put in over crowded in understaffed, under resourced facilities. Are you pretending to care now?

That's all part of Biden's crafty plan to stop the illegals from coming here. Once they hear they're being locked up with coronavirus-infected illegals and dying, they'll stop coming.

That's all I could come up with this late in the day.

From OP's article which indicates a big problem is about to get much bigger:
  • As Axios has reported, shelters have been getting an average of 321 children per day — up from 47 per day the first week of January — and expect to need 20,000 beds to accommodate an anticipated record number of child migrants. When warmer weather becomes more constant, there will be a significant increase as seen with other migrant patterns.

There wasn't a pandemic back in 2018, now was there?

There was in 2020. Trump's new policy was to expel children, with no concern about where they went or who picked them up or what happened to them.

The policy of "child separation" was in force under Øbama.

Not exactly. All administrations separated SOME families. Most tried not to, including the Obama administration who tried to minimize it and keep families together. None of them had a 100% seperation policy. That was Trump.

The children should never have been held in a hotel. They should have been expelled immediately.

So the policy then was to expel them back to the country of origin. Unlike now, where they're just being released into this country, free to roam about, infecting whomever they come in contact with.

I'm both shocked and dismayed that you can't tell the difference between Trump's immigration policies, and Biden's. For someone who's intelligent enough to be a moderator on an internet discussion board, you seem to be sadly unaware of what's going on outside your door.

Yup. That was a mistake and certainly not by intent. At least the got a bit more careful in vetting after but that doesn't excuse it.

So does that make it ok for Trump to lose children in the system (many can't be found), expel them with no counsel, no family, no resources into god knows what? Never mind. I doubt it bothers you.

The OP is about the mess at the border thanks to Traitor Joes©™ policies.

Half a billion dead Americans and NOW you're concerned about the children of immigrants?

Methinks I do detect the wretched stench of a hypocrite.

I can tell the difference easily.

How many expelled kids were actually unified with families? Who met them at the other end? What's happened with them? Did they end up trafficked? How many kids taken from their families still remain in detention because their families can't be found? Why did private NGO's have to take on the task of trying to find them because the Trump administration wouldn't? For someone faking intelligence, you're doing a crappy job but keep trying to defend your party of child abuse.
