The two news anchors working side by side is another disastrous result, same as Katie Couric. Glad that Nora O"Donnell is gone too, they have been unwatchable for years. Maybe marginal improvement.

CBS has found the next anchor of the CBS Evening News.

The news division, which is set to be overhauled under newly-minted editor-in-chief Bari Weiss and president Tom Cibrowski, has named Tony Dokoupil anchor of the venerable evening newscast, which has counted Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather and Katie Couric among its alumni.

Dokoupil announced the move on CBS Mornings Wednesday.

“It’s a massively important show, it has a massively important history,” Dokoupil said Wednesday. “It’s the oldest, boldest, most storied, battle-scarred and proud show, I think, in television news.”

I don't watch CBS Morning.
In fact ... well ... nobody does.
But I do watch YouTube clips of interviews from all over the place and I remember watching one a few weeks ago where this co-host on that show actually appeared - forgive me - fair. I mean, he challenged the narrative his co-hosts were pushing (all of them very liberal). And I didn't catch his name but I thought, "Finally, somebody who stands out from the herd."
Hopefully, he'll maintain that edge of fairness and actually practice "journalism", a time-honored tradition that has been curb-stomped in the last decade at the very least.

Bari Weiss is a conservative, and the new guy who owns CBS I have heard is a conservative. The media needs more mainstream conservative voices, for sure.

Of course, he aint it.

The guy's a hardcore Zionist hack, part of the Bari Weiss Zionist takeover.

Put a fork in CBS, they're done!

If ratings go up because CBS becomes FOX-lite, expect a shift in how news is presented.
The shift has already begun.

No one watches legacy media anyways, independent media is where the audience is.

Folks that are over 65 still do, and they get nearly all their news there. A greater percentage go there than social media.

Yes, I was going to add that "only fossils" still watch legacy media.

There's a reason for that.

However, once they're dead, legacy media is too.

Broadcast media has been in the tank with the establishment and the deep state since at least the JFK assassination.

If they decide to start telling the truth? They could remain relevant.

IF, OTH, they continue ***** footing with the musical chairs type non-sense which this move clearly is? You might be right.

Bari Weiss is a liberal in the old sense of the world. To some, given the fact the Democrat Party has lurched so far Left, she might appear to be a conservative.

15th post
Bari Weiss is moderating a "town hall" with Erika Kirk on CBS tonight.

Not conservative?
