My son and I talk daily. Today we discussed the high price or weed killers. He surprised me telling me that AI is used by the famous shopping site most if not all of us use. How it works he says is when you search prices of products, the AI system used follows you and adjusts prices on their site, upward he says. He detected it using his base computer which is what he daily uses and saw prices jerk up when he was searching for a weed killer and he noticed it was two dollars higher than earlier. He decided to move off his system and use his lap top. On the lap top same item same shopping site he got the product he wanted for two dollars less. To clarify he did not buy weed killer but he shops for many things and on his laptop he was charged 2 dollars less for a particular product not the weed killer.

What can you do? If you check prices on your personal system, if you have a second system, check prices there.
