I am, however, getting concerned about his lack of knowledge about the differences among Sunni and Shi'a; and economic policy... particularly when the banking industry is in a world of hurt right now... what? about 1.2 trillion dollars worth of defaulted mortgages?

There aren't viable alternatives right now. Personally, I think we're in need of a tune up and would do better with a more representative, parliamentary type of set up.

of the Arab world and is the language in which the Koran was written.

That is the major language of Iraq.

Farsi is the basically the language of Persia.
