I thought it funny...trudeau said "tariffs on Canadian goods will only hurt americans"....so canada puts tariffs on American goods.......won't that hurt Canadians? Seems like it would work the other way too, right?

In Canada, the government owns all the liquor stores, right? So I guess it's on them.

If you support Canada and Mexico having tariffs on America, you're a traitor.

Canada and Mexico have huge tariffs on America that need to go.

it works both ways........trade
besides dairy, eggs and poultry which are taxed high if they import too much and canada can make their own the rest have low to no tariffs
Context: Pre-2025 Baseline
  • Historical Norm: Under the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), enacted in 2020 during Trump’s first term, most U.S. goods entered Canada tariff-free (0% duty)if they met rules of origin—e.g., ~75% of Canada’s $550 billion in 2023 U.S. imports were duty-free (Government of Canada, 2023 trade data). Exceptions included:
    • Dairy: Up to 270%-300% tariffs on U.S. dairy products (e.g., milk, cheese) exceeding quotas, due to Canada’s supply management system (Global Affairs Canada, "Customs Tariff Schedule," 2024).
    • Poultry and Eggs: ~150%-250% over-quota tariffs (e.g., chicken, turkey).
    • Other Goods: Low average tariffs (1.84% across all U.S. products, per trade analyses)—e.g., softwood lumber faced countervailing duties (14.5% in 2024 under Biden, per U.S. Commerce Dept.).

Curling is their main sport.
not even close, they don't really have a national league with 15K people showing up and paying
curling is basically like our bowling.......not a huge spectator sport
