Canadians need to wake up!

Why is it that Canada should be allowed to sit back on their very weak military with all the obvious assurance that the United States will defend their freedom at the high expense of American Tax payers? In event nuclear Hell occurs is Canada so ignorant to think they are not already targeted? They have refused the US many land based far north ballistic missile prime locations for deterrence only beneficial to protection our combined hemisphere. (I will only give Canada props for their long past hefty contribution during WWII.) Since then they have fallen off the map in terms of even a miniscule form of military investment.

Are they so Jaded that they really think China & Russia are not of great potential threat to our combined assurance of freedom? Our northern friends, or defense freeloaders? Even in a conventional aspect, Canada is plenty capable of great military innovation. They are not a fair partner with the USA and they better step up to the plate! Their is no other country on Earth that that should combine power with us! Their seaborne fleet is pathetic, and their Nuclear capabilities are even worse. They have Zero excuse for such complacency because they have all potential capability for both just the same as the USA! A country of defensive freeloaders!

Well that annoys me a little. as you said we were fighting and dying in WW11 long before you yanks. And we were there with you in Korea. My brother flew helicopters for the U.S. Army in Vietnam. We were there in Afghanistan because the 9/11 attack on you guys deeply affected us. My Dad not only served in WW11 and Korea but he worked on the DEW line. (the distant early warning system across our North that was designed to protect us both from Soviet bombers and ICBMs). We're not addicted to perpetual war like you appear to have become but have served in just about every peace-keeping mission in the most dangerous places for the last 70 yrs. And most of us don't curse you daily for your ludicrous and costly attack on Iraq that made the whole world more threatened by the thousands upon thousands of new terrorists you have inspired, especially ISIS. If you didn't dedicate so much of your Middle Class's wealth on the Military Industrial Complex that Ike warned you about and didn't maintain a stubborn ignorance of the rest of us you wouldn't be in danger of losing the little admiration some of us still have for your once great leadership and being the one country that can still, at times, inspire the whole world to a belief there could be a better future. Clean up your own act and stop being so arrogant and projecting a sickening perverted sense of power-centric "exceptionalism" and the real exceptional America will shine through again.
