I don’t know if it’s climate change or not. But I know when I was a kid I never smelled Canadian Wildfires when stepping outdoors. Now it’s every year.Wildfires are normal ... as demonstrated by the several tree species that require their cones be burned in order to germinate ... if you believe in evolution ...

Whatever the reason, there’s clearly been an increase

Not according to the CANADIAN fire data.
You might be getting more winds from the north than usual thus getting more smoke than usual.
Do you suppose it was any different during the previous interglacial which was 2C warmer than today?Once again as the warming climate forces wind change patterns, we are seeing a record wildfire year in Canada. And unhealthy air from those fires in the US. Of course the denialists are going to deny that it is unusual, and say then that it isn't happening anyway. The usual lies and nonsense from that quarter even as vast resources go up in smoke and the fires add more GHG's to the atmosphere. Sad to see such ignorance and insanity.

Why don't you get a brain and recognize that we have created a problem for ourselves?
The vast majority of wildfires are a result of human activity. There's accidental causes such as campfires, cigarettes, and equipment use, as well as arson. It does. As well as wildfires. Sometimes even in the same place. And if the floods come after the wildfires, you get much worst floods because of the denudation of the forests. But it doesn't matter to you kissers of the orange ass as everything has to be according to your new Jesus.
There never was a forrests fire before 1970. Got it.Once again as the warming climate forces wind change patterns, we are seeing a record wildfire year in Canada. Here's climate change in Utah starting a fire and cycling away -
They start fires and blame them on "warming."
They squirt bleach into coral and blame that on "warming."
Very few of us understand just how sick these people are and just who is backing them...
My, my, telling lies again, silly person. Yes, there has been an increase in Canadian wildfires and the damage done by them. But liars like you will continue to lie about it, just as you have lied about the increase in temperature and extreme weather events.LOLOLOLOLOL, look who's talking the dumbfuckery who got smashed in post #4 LINK exposing your dishonest attempt to drive a narrative that is misleading and a lie as there have always been wildfires in Canada and there is NO increase in them over the recent decades.
You are pathetic in your endless run of misleading and Lying crap in post after post after post where you often get dressing down by refutation replies that you never address.
What a sad sack liar you are. Sure, someone is pouring bleach on 1500 Km of coral reefs in just Australia. Have you considered how ridiculous you sound? They start fires and blame them on "warming."

Damn, what a stupid lie. The Amazon forest has had many serious fires in recent years. There are fires globally. There is but one explanation, ever increasing human consumption of FINITE land based fresh water is leaving plants dry and ready to burn.
The Co2 fraud claims a (ficticious) 2 degree rise in temperature is behind it, not increased human consumption of fresh water.
The data refutes the fraud. Warm tropical rainforests have no such fires, despite being 115F. What is burning is where humans are sucking out too much water, especially off Colorado River. Canada is in similar denial because their "leader" is part of the Co2 fraud and does not care.
There is a...

Increase in Canadian wildfires
The increase in Canadian wildfires is attributed to several factors, including accelerating climate change, which has made wildfires bigger, hotter, and more frequent. Canada has warmed twice as fast as the global average, and the country is home to more than a quarter of the world’s boreal forests. In 2023, Canada experienced its most destructive wildfire season ever, with fires consuming 16.5 million hectares, more than double the previous record. In 2024, wildfires continued to devastate the country, becoming the sixth-most destructive season on record, with over 5.3 million hectares burned. The Jasper wildfire in Alberta, for instance, destroyed one-third of the town's structures and was among the most expensive natural disasters in Canadian history, with insured damages estimated to be $1.23 billion.

The Canadian National Fire Database (CNFDB) is a collection of forest fire data from various sources; these data include fire locations (point data) and fire perimeters (polygon data) as provided by Canadian fire management agencies (provinces, territories, and Parks Canada). Fires of all sizes are included in the database, but only those greater than 200 hectares in final size are shown in the map above — these represent a small percentage of all fires but account for most of the area burned (usually more than 97%).
