I am a globalist because of the achievements the human race accomplished under the broad umbrella of American global leadership.
In the decades since the U.S. led the Western Alliance to victory in WWII and established the network of international organizations that managed the post war world economy, the standard of living of every person on this planet has risen substantially. We have eliminated diseases from entire populations, seeded investments in industry for which we have benefitted.
The entire time, the United States presided as the richest and most powerful nation.
Nothing like that has ever been achieved in human history, and the United States led the way.
Real Americans are proud of that, and do not want to fritter it away.
It’s a legacy that isolationists like you have opposed since the days of William Borah, and with much of the same language.
For 75 years, there hasn’t been a major war.
Untill 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine.
An action supported by the current US President, who has wasted a lot of credibility by trying to bully Ukraine into Russia’s terms.
China is troubled, but still on the rise. Which was always inevitable.
They are now the world leaders in renewable energy and battery technology, even as the U.S. President retreats from the energy sources of tommorow in favor of the energy sources of the 19th century.
