Canada believed in big, creepy domestic policing of citizens, we have little interest in defending ourselves we figure America will do it.

Unless of course, Americas domestic economy collapses, then we are basically in trouble. Since we lose our best talent as a sport here, there is an increasing concern in Canada that "maybe being the patsy for the Brits, pissing on civil liberties and domestic human rights, interfering in the free market to employ creepy covert government employees wasn't really a winning strategy after all"
