Police searching for murder suspect in Sinatra Café shooting

Police are still searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a 72-year-old man in Ahuntsic-Cartierville on Thursday afternoon.

Angelo D’Onofrio, who is known to police, was gunned down around 4 p.m. near the Sinatra Café (previously known as the Hillside Café) at 2581 Fleury St., near André-Jobin St.

D’Onofrio was transported to hospital where he died an hour later, say police.

Police are looking for a suspect with dreadlocks, who fled the scene on foot.

Police would neither confirm or deny that D’Onofrio was the victim of mistaken identity, as has been reported.

D’Onofrio’s gangland-style murder comes one day before Friday’s funeral in Ahuntsic-Cartierville of Rocco Sollecito, a reputed high-ranking member of the Rizzuto crime family who was gunned down last month while driving his white BMW in Laval.

exactly why we have laws and guns and good guys to shut down the bad guys and their friends

There are shootings in Canada, just not that many.

they are experiencing an increase in gun crime in their major cities....even with all of their gun laws....
