Can you thicken a sauce with instant mashed potato powder?

I wonder if anybody ever tried that.
 
I'm just gonna do it. Start with a little bit and see how it goes
 
I have sort of done it.

I have used insta-mash flakes to make soups and stews thicker. I prefer it to flour or cornstarch.
 
Not too good. But it's a lot thicker now. That sauce will stick to your ribs.
