Can you thicken a sauce with instant mashed potato powder?

I have sort of done it.

I have used insta-mash flakes to make soups and stews thicker. I prefer it to flour or cornstarch.

Not too good. But it's a lot thicker now. That sauce will stick to your ribs.

Sure you can. Although it might be a little grittier than a cornstarch/water mixture.
